原子力なしの未来を
東北地方太平洋沖地震、福島第一原子力発電所の事故を経験した私たちは、いまこそ原子力エネルギーの問題と持続可能な電力供給のあり方について話し合うべきではないでしょうか。その議論の出発点として、「世界の原子炉の数」「もし原子力を使わない場合に節約すべきエネルギーの量」を視覚化しました。ただ反対するだけではなく、もし原子力が無くなった場合に私たちが考えなくてはならない生活スタイルの変化、環境への影響、代替エネルギー供給の可能性など、具体的な問題点への認識が重要です。出来るだけ環境に負担を与えず、無駄なエネルギーを消費しない社会になることを願っています。
このプロジェクトで得た収益は、東北地方太平洋沖地震の被災者支援の義援金として私たちの出生地、福島県郡山市へ寄付されます。
A future without nuclear power
After witnessing the disaster of Japan's earthquake and the following crisis in nuclear plants, we are drawn to start thinking about the use of nuclear power, and possible alternatives to it. As the staring point of this debate, a series of posters visualising 'the number of nuclear reactors in the world' and 'how much energy we should save if we don't use nuclear power'.
Merely arguing against nuclear energy supply is not enough, as a change of our life style, a possible alternative energy supply and the effects on the environments should all be taken into account. The aim is to establish the society that prevents any further serious environmental damage and unnecessary energy consumption.
All the proceedings from this project except the basic production costs will be donated to the Fukushima Prefecture to assist the victims of the earthquake. The results will be updated at Riddim Saunter's website. http://www.riddimsaunter.net/
